Julia Boix-vives développe intuitivement l'univers lyrique et poétique surgit de ses rêves, son inconscient et de ses égarements. Abordant le thème de la mise en abime elle se sert du corps, de ses expressions, de ses membres, multipliant les mouvements fluides ou bien désarticulés.

Absorbée dans une relation physique avec un objet parfois une poupée la représentant, elle construit une chorégraphie quasi sexuelle de la manipulation. Son travail est un collage, une découpe analytique, une tentation de contact avec le Cosmos emprunt d'humour, de maladresse et de douceur.

Julia Boix-Vives gebruikt performance, video, foto's en tekeningen om intuïtief het lyrische en poëtische universum dat oprijst uit haar dromen, haar onbewuste en haar dwalingen te ontwikkelen. Zij benadert het thema van het 'droste effect' door haar lichaam, haar uitdrukkingen, haar ledematen, soms een pop - die haar voorstelt - te gebruiken waarbij vloeiende, maar ook onsamenhangende, bewegingen zich herhalen. Haar werk is een collage, een analytische doorsnede, een poging tot contact met de Cosmos, vol humor, onhandigheden en zachtheid.
